Federal Mogul Campus Renovation
Project Size: 15 Acres, 160,000 Square Feet
Contract Amount: $3,300,094
Finish: Exterior Insulation and Finish System, Glass
Owner: Federal Mogul
Architect: Sorkin Ginsberg Associates
The old Moog Automotive manufacturing complex in Wellston, Missouri was transformed into a corporate campus for Cooper Industries who had acquired Moog Automotive. The nine-acre Campus renovation included demolition of former industrial and warehouse space to make way for over 500 parking spaces. A complete exterior renovation, which included Exterior Insulation and Finish System, graphic paint design, and glazing an overhead walk bridge, gave a high tech look to the once industrial looking complex. Also included was a new entrance, extensive landscaping with walking trails, and a new guard shack. Where there was once manufacturing, a 200-seat cafeteria and conference rooms were created with large skylights and exterior windows. To achieve improved office space, existing offices were remodeled as well as remodeling of existing manufacturing space into both private and open office space. All 160,000 sq. ft. of space was renovated with new carpeting, new ceiling and lighting, and fresh paint. Multiple budgets and value engineering proposals helped the client evaluate several sites and the overall feasibility of the planned project. The client appreciated the attention to detail, value engineering and schedule given to this project achieving an immense amount of complex work in a short period of time.
